Music theory exam level 4 violin

Been coaching jJ on his theory.  Must admit he's much better than I was when I was 8. Picks up quick
Occasional mishaps due to his quintessential sloppiness. Been getting better @catching them in his checking.  Good progress. Proud of him.

Japanese speech

Yesterday jJ did his nihongo speech on ice hockey.  Smooth with gd intonation and accent. Very Japanese like.   A bit robotic but overall very nice.  He always exceeds even high expectations from dad. 

Hand ball 4 vs 1

Nice day @ Richard rioux park. Jay played tennis with daddy.  Been over a yr but Jay's strokes actually improved!  While heading over to play hand ball after tennis,  2 girls beat us to the court.  Daddy jokingly said " oops, why don't u ask them if h can play with them? "   To daddy's surprise,  Jay just walked into the court and did just that. He kept playing and winning. The girls didn't seem to mind. 2 more girls joined in,  it ended up 4 vs 1.

They just need to know u

Leaving for tokyo tomorrow.  Topic of airport security came up in the car with jJ. Dad, they only put ayashiii hito (suspicious looking people) thru the body scanner. U look kinda ayashii so u will be scanned. But, if they get to know , they'll know u r a good guy. Oh, thank you JJ!

Let me contribute

JJ needed new sneakers.  Must have white soles to play squash @Headland hotel in Hk. One pair costs $20 and another is $30. Told him the prices and asked him to decide.  He liked the expensive pair. Bought them. On our way out, jJ handled me $5 to help cover the price difference.  Our boy growing up.@

Getting philosophical

Family heading home in car. Suddenly,  a question from the back. JJ asked - which is more important,  love or water?  Mom and dad had to think ....
Romance is low priority in the family!

8 yr old jJ stepping in to help out with biz correspondence.  Warm and to the point response to a solicitation to sell Austin house.
