Jay knows a lot about college
Jay spent a few HR with ur neighbor, Clive Teresa Kai, few days ago. Teresa just texted me about how much he knew about universities. Been talking a lot them at home. He knows all the ivies and the other top ones. His current dream is to play ice hockey for Stanford. Gotta aim high.
New 3/4 Violin
Just picked up a new rental from Meltzer 's in Glendale. Nicer than the previous one and costs 2x more. JJ likes it. So does teacher, Karin. Need to get ready for 5/17 recital. Solo on Introduction and polonaise by Boulevard and a duet w/Bae Kim. Jay's been practicing his duet piece timing hard. He knows it's important.
Friends
JJ started eating lunch with Dylan after Spring Break. Used to do it with Jackson and Shane. Dylan is a good friend too and move to Stevenson Elementary next year. D's parents both from HK. They live just a few doors down. Dylan is a kind kid. Looks out for Jay. Jay's still friends with his fellow third graders too -Shane Jackson Billy Solomon.

Old pic from Sunshine pre-K
JJ found this pic taken by his pre-K teacher @ Sunshine when he was almost 5. The girl was Shannon. JJ was too embarrassed to show it and wanted to throw it away. So daddy will keep it for him instead.

Jay gets Churchill
JJ and I read about a quote from Churchhill -Sometimes doing your best is not enough, sometimes you must do what's required. We have been talking about this on and off. Tonight during his violin practice, he keeps practising a song until it is satisfactory. After finishing one of his songs, he said - when you are practising your best, your best will get higher and it will turn into what's required! Brilliant! Pretty deep! Daddy needed to ponder on that one. Made daddy proud!
